RESOLUTION No. 4982
A RESOLUTION OF THE Cy COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
1 NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT,BETWEEN THE CITY AND
•. 2 THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR STATE
ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL SALES AND.USE.TAXES.

4 WHEREAS, >the City and the State Board of Equalization
5 have heretofore made an agreement for State Administration of
6 Local.Sales and-Use Taxes, and
7 WHEREAS, the State Board of Equalization has requested
8 an Amendment to that Agreement which will "enable the Board to
.9 accelerate transmittal of the collections to. the City, and
10�f WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed -the proposed
11 Amendment and it appears to be in the best interests of the City
1.2, to approve and execute the amendment,.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE..IT RESOLVED by the.City Council of
14 the City of Newport.Beaoh that the Mayor and City Council be
15 authorized : and -directed to execute the Amendment to said Agreement
which amends Paragraph C of Article II to read.:
17I "C, Transmittal of money. Except as other -.
18I wise provided herein, all local taxes
collected under the provisions of the City
19I ordinance shall be transmitted to the City
periodically as_promptly as feasible, A
20 statement shall be furnished indicating the
amount withheld pursuant to Article IV of
21 this agreement.11
22 This Resolution was.adopted by the City.Council of the
23 City of Newport Beach at a regular.meeting on the 27th day of
24 April, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and waintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4982 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 27th day of April 9 19599 by the following
vote, to wit:
