RESOLUTION NO. 4983
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PACIFIC VIEW DRIVE BETWEEN
MacARTHUR BOULEVARD AND BIG CANYON RESERVOIR
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of an access road to the Big Canyon
Reservoir to be known as Pacific View Drive between MacArthur
Boulevard and Big Canyon Reservoir for the City of Newport Beach,
California, in accordance with the plans and specifications hereto
fore adopted, bids were received on the 23rd day of April, 1959,
and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
for such construction work is Sully - Miller Contracting Co.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, subject to approval
from the State Department of Public Works and issuance of an en-
croachment permit to construct the intersection with MacArthur
Boulevard, the bid of Sully - Miller Contracting Co. in the amount
$14,991.90 be accepted and that the contract for the construction
work be awarded to said Sully- Miller Contracting Co.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon receiving said approval
the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute a contract in accordance with the specifications, bid and
this award on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the
City Clerk be directed to furnish an executed copy to the success
bidder.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 27th day of
April_,T99t,by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Atkinson,Higbie

of the City of Newport Beach filed and waintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4983 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California,' at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 27th day of April 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
