A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING _A DEED OF
RIGHT OF WAY
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company, a West Virginia corporation,
has executed a deed of right of way dated May 5a 1959, granting to
the City of Newport Beach an easement for public road purposes over
the real property in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southeasterly prolonga-
tion of the center line of 18th Street as shown upon a map
of Newport Heights recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 4,
Page 83, and a line lying southeasterly of, parallel to,
and distant 30 feet from the northwesterly line of said
Block 53; said point also being the westerly corner of
a parcel of land deeded to the City of Newport Beach from
the Newport Beach Elementary School District, recorded in
Book 3978, Page 542, official records of said Orange County;
thence along the southerly line of said parcel of land the
following courses and distances; South 50° 111 05 " East
a distance of 305,00 feet to the beginning-of a tangent
curve, concave to the north and having a radius of 300.00
feet; thence easterly along said curve, through a central
angle of 760 081 30 ", an arc distance of 398.68 feet; thence
North 530 4Q1 25" East tangent to last mentioned curve, a
distance-of 320.46 feet; thence South 360 191 35" East
along the westerly line of Mariners Drive, 30 feet in width,
as shown upon a map of Tract 1896, recorded in Miscellaneous
Maps Book 114, Page 43,.44 and 45, records of said Orange
County, a distance of 30.00 feet to a point; said point also
being the westerly corner of Lot 82 of said Tract 1896;
thence South 53° 401 25" West.a distance of 275.49 feet to
the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the southeast
and having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence southwesterly
along said curve, through a central angle of 880 331 45
an arc distance of 23.19 feet; thence South 550 061 40"
West, radial to last mentioned curve, a distance of 60.00
feet to a point in a curve, concave to the southwest and
having a radius of 42,55 feet; thence northwesterly along
said curve, through a central angle of 1° 261 15 ", an arc
distance of 1.07 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave to the south and having a radius of 15.00 feet;
thence northwesterly along said curve, through a central
angle of 82° 301 19 ", an arc distance of 21.60 feet to a
point in a tangent curve, concave to the north and having
a radius of 330,00 feet, a radial line through said point
bears North 280 491 55" West; thence southwesterly along
said curve, through a central angle of 38° 581 01 ", an arc
distance of 224.43 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave to the southeast, and having a radius of 15.00
feet; thence southwesterly along said curve, through a
central angle of 94° 481 00 ", an arc distance of 24.82 feet;
thence North 84° 3911 54" West, radial to last mentioned
curve, a distance of 60.00 feet to a point in a curve,

distance of 18.10 feet to a point in a tangent curve, concave
to the northeast and having a radius of 330,00 feet, a radial
line through said point bears North 25° 301 37" East; thence
northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of
140 181 1811, an are distance of 82.39 feet; thence North
50® 111 05" West, tangent to last mentioned curve, a distance
of _235.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave
to the south and having a radius of 20.00 feet; thence
westerly along said curve, through a' central angle of
900 001 00 ", an are distance of 31.42 feet; thence South
390 481 55'.' West, tangent to last mentioned curve, along a
line lying.southeasterly of, parallel to, and distant?M.00
feet from the aforementioned northwesterly line of said
Block 53 a distance of 1213.67 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve, concave to the east, and having a radius of
15.00 feet; thence southerly along said curve, through a
central angle of 890 591 25 ", an arc distance of 23.56
feet; thence South_500 101.30" East along a line lying
northeasterly of, parallel to,.and distant 2.00 feet from
the northeasterly line of Westcliff Drive (formerly 17th
Street) as shown upon a map of Tract 1125,..recorded in
Miscellaneous Maps Book 39, Page 7 and 8, records of said
Orange County, a distance of 626.98 feet to a point in the
northwesterly line of Tract 1893, recorded in Miscellaneous
Maps Book 104, Page 48, records of said Orange County;
thence South 39° 491 30" West along the northwesterly line
of said Tract 1893 a distance of 2.00 feet; thence North
500 101 30" West along the northeasterly line of the afore-
mentioned Westcliff Drive a distance of 691,98 feet to an
intersection with a line lying southeasterly of, parallel
to, and distant 30.00 feet from the aforementioned north-
westerly line of said Block 53; thence North 39° 481 55"
East along said parallel line a distance of 1280.67 feet.
to the point of beginning,
Reserving unto the Grantor, its successors and assigns,
the right to construct, maintain and operate lines of any and
all kinds across, under or over said road or any part thereof,
including lines for the conveyance of water and including
lines for telephone, telegraph and electric power, but so as
not to interfere with the reasonable use for public road
purposes.
Subject to all existing easements, reservations, rights
rights of way of record;
WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept said
deed of right of way for such purposes;
NOWo THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said deed of right of way be
and that the City Council hereby. consents to its being recorded,

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 11th day of May,
1959, by the following vote, to wit:
