RESOLUTION NO. 4996

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH TRANSFERRING TITLE TO A BOAT TO

THE ORANGE COUNTY HARBOR DISTRICT.AND AUTHORIZING
•
THE EXECUTION OF A BILL OF.SALE FOR SAID BOAT

WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has owned a sixteen -
6
foot Kettenburg boat with serial No. M47- 93005, which was awarded
7
No. 27 M 224 by the United States Coast Guard; and
8
WHEREAS, said boat was turned over to the Orange County
9
Harbor Department on or about July 1, 1957, and since that time has
10
been used, maintained and insured by the Orange County Harbor Depart
11
ment; and

WHEREAS, the Orange County Harbor Department is using said
13
boat for patrol duty in Newport Bay; and
14

WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City and to the
15
benefit of the citizens of the City to transfer title to said boat
16
to Orange County Harbor District;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in consideration of
18
the services performed and to be performed by Orange County Harbor
19
District with said boat, the use by the City of the Harbor District
20
boat slip, fueling and repair equipment and facilities for the City
21
rescue boat at no cost to the City, the City of Newport Beach does
22
hereby transfer title to the above - described boat to the Orange
23
County Harbor District.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
25
hereby authorized and directed to execute a bill of sale to
26
evidence the transfer of title of the boat herein described.

City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 11th day of May,

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and ,maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4996 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of May , 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
