RESOLUTION NO. 4999
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING THE WORK
ON THE TRANSMISSION MAINS AND ORDERING A
NOTICE OF COMPLETION TO BE FILED
WHEREAS, on December 16, 1957, the City Council by reso-
lution No. 4717 awarded a contract to N. P. Van Valkenburgh Compan
for the construction of the transmission mains called for in
Schedule II in the specifications for the construction of Big
Canyon Reservoir and transmission mains; and
l
WHEREAS, James M. Montgomery, the Cityts engineer, has
advised the City that the transmission mains are completed and may
be accepted by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby finds that the work has been completed according to the
contract and that the same is accepted by the City of Newport
Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the engineer shall cause to
be filed on behalf of the City a notice of completion of the work
designated as Schedule II.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 11th day of May,
19590 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Harts Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Atkinson, Hi,gbie, Stoddard

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4999 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11thday of May , 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers, Kingsley,
Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
