1. 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
• 3 CONSTRUCTION OF STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVE-
MENTS IN IRVINE AVENUE FROM 19TH STREET TO
4 3202 SOUTHERLY OF WESTCLIFF DRIVE, IN MARINERS
DRIVE FROM DOVER DRIVE TO IRVINE AVENUE, IN
5 DOVER DRIVE FROM MARINERS DRIVE TO IRVINE
AVENUE

7 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bidsfor work
8 consisting of the construction of street and drainage improvements
9 in Irvine Avenue from 19th Street to 320' Southerly of Westcliff
10 Drive, in Mariners Drive from Dover Drive to Irvine Avenue, in
11 Dover Drive from Mariners Drive to Irvine Avenue, in accordance
12 with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
13 received on the 6th day of May, 1959, and publicly opened and
14 declared; and
151 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
16 for such construction work is Sully - Miller Contracting Co.;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Sully -
18 Miller Contracting Co, in the amount of $85,915085 be accepted and
1911 that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
20 Sully - Miller Contracting Co.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
22 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
23 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
24 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
25 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
26 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
27 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 11th day of May,
• 28 1959,.by the following vote, to wit:
29 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers
30 Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
31 NOES, COUNCILMEN: None

of the City of Newport Beach filed and ,maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5002 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 11th day of May , 19 599 by the following
vote, to wit:
