RESOLUTION NO. 5025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING A RE-
DISTRICTING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is divided into seven
councilmanic districts; and
WHEREAS, Section 1005 of the Charter provides that in
1959 the City Council shall appoint a committee to study and repor
to the City Council on the advisability of redistricting the City
by changing and redefining the boundaries of any or all of the
seven districts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a committee be
appointed to study and report to the City Council as required by
said section consisting of the following persons:
J. Leslie Steffensen, Chairman
George M. Engelke
Marion C. Forrest
Tom lr?. Henderson
Roland Wright
Marco P. Anich
James D. Ray
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 8th day of June,
1959., by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5025 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 8th day of June 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
