RESOLUTION NO. 5028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A CONTRACT TO SERVE WATER OUTSIDE THE CITY
BOUNDARIES TO MONTEREY OIL COMPANY
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach for its acceptance and approval a certain
contract by and between the City of Newport Beach and Monterey Oil
Company, wherein said City of Newport Beach agrees to sell certain
excess water of said City to Monterey Oil Company, upon the condi-
tions, covenants and restrictions as therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has heretofore considered the
terms and conditions of said contract and said terms and conditions
are reasonable and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that that certain contract
between the City of Newport Beach and Monterey Oil Company, wherein
the City of Newport Beach agrees to sell certain excess water upon
certain conditions, restrictions and limitations to said Monterey
Oil Company, be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 8th day of June,
1959, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution Noy 5028 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City .Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 8th day of June , lg 59 by the following
vote, to wits
