RESOLUTION NO. -570
• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH RESCINDING RESOLUTION•NO. 4868
• WHEREAS, Resolution No. 4868 provided for the collection,
of garbage, refuse and cuttings from certain residential premises
and business premises in the City twice weekly or six times weekly
as necessary; and
WHEREAS, said resolution established fees for said col-
lections; and
WHEREAS, Section 5413 of the Municipal Code permits the
City Manager to establish the days of collection and other rules
necessary for the collection and removal of garbage, refuse and
cuttings; and
WHEREAS, Initiative Ordinance No. 878 approved by the
voters on June 2, 1959, which will be effective on June 19, 1959,
provides for the cost and expense of collecting garbage, refuse
and cuttings to be defrayed from the ad valorem tax revenues of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the discontinuance of these fees after June 14,
1959, would make proration of said fees for a portion of a month
unnecessary;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective June 15,
1959, Resolution No. 4868 be rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall not
rescind, cancel or annul any fees established by the Municipal Code
or said resolution for any period of time prior to June 15, 1959.
. This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting on the 9th
day of June, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 9th day of June , 19 59, by the following
vote, to wits
