2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T1_1:
CITY OF NMTFORT BEACH FIXING THE SALARY
3 OF.THE CITY ATTORNEY

IMEREAS, the
City Council of
the City of Newport Beach

has the power and duty
to fix the salary of the City Attorney and
7
to designate the time
to be devoted to
the duties of the office in
8
the resolution fixing
the compensation;
and
9
[^?HE_REAS, Resolution
No. 4897
established the salary of
101 the City Attorney beginning January 1, 1959, and the time to be
11 devoted to the duties of the office;
12 NOG ?, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1,
13 1959, Resolution No. 4897 be rescinded and that the salary of the
14 City Attorney beginning July 1, 1959, shall be $ `��G per
15 year for full -time employment, payable in monthly, semimonthly, or
16 biweekly installments as is most convenient in the ordinary course
17 of the preparation of the City's payroll.
18 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
19 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 22nd day of June,
20 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
21 AYES, COUNCIVIKEN: Kingsley, Atkinson,
22 Higbie, Stoddard, Hart, Lorenz, Somers
23 NOES, COUNCILPMN: None
24 ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5039 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 22d day of June 9 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard,
Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
