A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH. AUTHORIZING TIM ^CECUTION.OF

A .GRANT DEED

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach

publicly invited bids for the purchase of surplus City property
7
consisting of:

The northeast 104:00 feet of the southwest 119.00 feet
of the following described property:

Lot 7, Block 50, River Section, in the City of Newport
10
Beach, County of Orange, State of California as per map,
recorded in Miscellaneous-Maps, Book 4, page 25, records of
11
Orange County, California, and a.portion of Section 29, Town-
ship 6 South, Range 10 West, of the San Bernardino Meridian,
12
according to an official, plat of said land filed in the
District nand Office, August 4, 1890, and more particularly

described.as follows, to wit:

Beginning at the westerly corner of said Lot 7; thence
northeasterly along the northwesterly line of said Lot 7

and along the northeasterly prolongation of the north-
westerly line o:f.said Lot 7 to an intersection with the
16
line of Ordinary High Tide of the Pacific Ocean in
Newport Bay designated.as "SOUTH LINE ", in final decree
17
entered August 22, 1928, iA_5uperior Court action 23686,
a certified copy thereof being recorded September 19,

1928, in Book 201, page 253, official records of said
Orane County; thence southeasterly along said "SOUTH
19
LINE to an intersection with the northeasterly prolongs»
tion.of the southeasterly line of the aforesaid Lot 7;

thence southwesterly along said northeasterly prolongatio,
and along the southeasterly line of said Lot 7 to the

southerly corner of said Lot 7; thence northwesterly
along the southwesterly line of said Lot 7 to the point

of beginnings

WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Council on

December 142 1959, at which time J. H. Morris was the high bidder
26
for the purchase of said property; and

WHEREAS, the bid of said high bidder was accepted by
•

the City and the property ordered sold by the City Council;
•

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
30
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed: to execute a grant
31
deed on.behalf,of the City of Newport Beach granting the above

described real property to said high bidder or to the person

designated by him in writing.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 28th day of
December, 1959,.by the following vote, to wit:- ®C
