HomeMy WebLinkAbout6530 - Temporary One-Way Streets During EasterJ 3 .mec 667 (12) 1 2 3 4 RESOLUTION NO. 6530 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING TEMPORARY ONE -WAY STREETS DURING THE EASTER VACATION PERIOD 5 WHEREAS, Section 12.52.010 of the Newport Beach Municipal 6 Code provides that whenever any resolution of this City designates 7 any one -way street the City Traffic Engineer shall place and main - 8 tain signs giving notice thereof, and Section 12.52.020 of the 9 Municipal Code provides that when signs are erected on any one -way 10 street giving notice thereof, no person shall drive, or park, any 11 vehicle in a direction contrary thereto; and 12 UREEREAS, certain streets hereinafter described are 13 streets which should be designated as one -way streets from March 14 17, 1967, to March 27, 1967, in order to facilitate the flow of 15 traffic and eliminate traffic hazards during the Easter Vacation 16 period; 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following - 18 described streets are hereby designated as one -way streets from 19 March 17, 1967, to March 27, 1967, as indicated; 20 gain Street between Ocean Front and Balboa Boulevard, 21 north bound traffic only. Palm Street between Balboa Boulevard and Ocean Front, 22 south bound traffic only. 23 Washington Street between Balboa Boulevard and Ocean 24 Front, south bound traffic only. 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer 26 is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said 27 streets to indicate the above designations. 28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any existing regulations of =-_ 29 City which conflict with those established by this resolution shall 30 be suspended for the period from March 17, 1967, to March 27, 1967, 31 ADOPTED this 13th day of March; 3 . 38 ATTEST:�°� -t Mayor i y r 'yy1 STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF ORANGE ) CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ) • I, LAURA LAGIOS, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office, the foregoing Resolution No. 6530 was duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 13th day of March 1967, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Marshall, Gruber, Cook, Forgit, Shelton NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Parsons Dated this 14th day of March , 1967.
