MWIREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for eacrk
consisting of the fiscal year 1966 -67 combined street improvements
in the ity of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 5t1Z
day of June, 1967, and publicly opened and declared, and.
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is the Griffith Company;
NOT12 TIM113FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of the
Griffith Company in the amount of u179,709.53 be accepted and that
the contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
15 BE IT FURT,.ma USOLVED that the 'Sayor and City Clerk
16 are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
17 accordance with the specifications, bid and this award cn behalf
18 of the City of Newport Beach, and thatthe City Clerk be c.irected
19 to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
