RESOLUTION NO, 6612
A RESOLUTION CF Ta CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A SUPPLE
MENTAL BUDGET PROPOSAL AND PROJECT.STATEMENT.FOR
EXkENDITURE OF,'FUNDS_ALLOCATED.PROM.THE STATE
HIGHC -]AY FUND TO .CITIES
WHEREAS, a master agreement dated March 27, 1961, for the
budgeting and expenditure of funds allocated from the State Highway
Fund to Cities has been entered into by the City of Newport Beach,
hereinafter referred to as the City, and the State Department of
Public Works, Division of Highways, hereinafter referred to as the
Department; and
G]HEREAS, by Resolution No. 6565 a budget proposal and
project statement showing estimated expenditures of such funds
recommended to be made during the 1967 -68 fiscal year was adopted
on May 22, 1967, which it is now necessary to supplement; and
WHEREAS, the City Public Works Director has prepared a
supplemental budget proposal, dated July 18, 1967; and a project
statement designated as 'Project Statement, Proposed Improvement of
Select City Streets, Select System Project 68" for the improvement
of 32nd Street from Balboa Boulevard to Newport Boulevard, showing
revised estimated expenditures of such funds to be made during the
1967 -68 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said supplemen-
tal budges: proposal and project statement and is familiar with the
contents thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said supplemental budget proposal
and project statement are hereby approved and adopted as an addi-
tion to previously approved budgeted funds of the gas tax allocat
to cities, and the Public Works Director is directed to sign the
budget proposal on behalf of said City and submit it and the
project statement to the Department of Public Works, State of

California, in accordance with the provisions of Section 197 of
the Streets and Highways Code.
