PORTION OF .A CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS OCEAN, FRONT. The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 194118, and all amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 to 8331, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve and declare as follows. SECTION 1. The public interest and convenience require the closing up and abandonment of a portion of a certain street known as Ocean Front in the City of Newport Beach, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the following described portion'of said street in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, closed up and abandoned, to wit: Beginning at a point in the Northeasterly line of Ocean Front, said point being 4 feet North- westerly from the Southeasterly corner of Lot 5 in Block F, Seashore Colony Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 7,.page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence Northwesterly 26 feet along the Northeasterly line of Ocean Front to the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 5; thence Southwesterly 15 feet along the Southwesterly prolongation of the North- westerly line of said Lot 5; thence Southeasterly parallel to the Northeasterly line of said Ocean Front to the Southwesterly prolongation of the Northwesterly.,line of the Southeasterly 4 feet of said Lot 5; thence Northeasterly along said prolongation to the point of beginning. All that portion of said street to be vacated, closed up and abandoned is more clearly shown on a certain map approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by resolution dated 3211 July 24 , 1967, and designated "Resolution No. I� I 1I 6617 ", which said map is on file in the office of the City 2I Clerk of the City of Newport Beach. Reference is hereby made to 3 said map for further particulars as to the proposed vacation, g closing up and abandonment of said portion of said street, and 5I said map is made a part of this resolution by this reference to 61 the same extent and purpose as if it were incorporated herein in 7I full. 8 SECTION 2. The proceedings for the closing up and aban- 9 donment of the aforesaid portion of said street shall be had and 10 taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby 11 elects to proceed under the provisions of the 1 °Street Vacation Act 12� of 1941 ", and all amendments thereto, being Sections 8300 to 8331, 13 inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali - 14 i I fornia. 15 SECTION 3. The Street Superintendent of the City of 16 Newport Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the 17 line of the portion of said street proposed to be vacated not more 181 than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices of 19 the vacation of said portion of said street. Said notices shall 20 state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the time and 211 place of the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to 22 the proposed vacation of said portion of said street. Said 23 notices shall be so posted at least ten days before the date of 24 said hearing, all as required by law. 25 SECTION 4. Notice is hereby given that the City Council 26 of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday, the 14th 27 day of August 1967, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock 28 P.M. of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport 29 Beach, located in the City Hall of the City of Newport Beach, as 30 the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or object 311 ing to the proposed vacation of said portion of said street, and 32 the City Council at said time and place will hear the evidence 2. i 1� offered by any person interested in the vacation of said portion 21 of said street hereinbefore described. 3 SECTION 5.
