21 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEUPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 JOINT POVTRS AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF TUSTIN AVENUE FROM
4 UNIVERSITY DRIVE TO PALISADES ROAD

6 tTd'tT'REAS, the County is proposing to construct roadway
7 improvements on Tustin Avenue between University Drive and Palisades
8 Road, portions of which are in the City of Newport Beach; and
9 WHEREAS, County and City consider it in the best interests
10 of economics and Public safety to combine the improvement in their
11 respective jurisdictions into one project; and
12 tMEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
131 the City of Newport Beach a joint powers agreement between the City
14 and the County providing for such work, with the cost thereof to be
15, shared by the City and County in the manner set out therein; and
16 UMEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
17 conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and equitable
18 and determined it to be in the interests of the City and the im-
19 provements to be necessary;
20 N(Yvlo THMEFOt29 BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement is
21 approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed
22, to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
