2' A UL SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NE1,1FORT BEACH SUPP02TING THE ORANGE COUNTY
3+ CELEBRITY GOLF CLASSIC TO BE HEM, AT THE COSTA
4i MESA GOLF AND.CCUNTRY CLUB. ON NOVEMBER 53 1967.
5 YR EREAS, the Costa Mesa Golf and Country Club comprises
I
6 two golf courses situated in the City of Costa Mesa on the edge
7 of the State of California Fairview Hospital grounds; and
8 WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Golf and Country Club is in a
9 position to be able to help the physically and mentally handi-
10 capped child by sponsoring the Orange County Celebrity Golf 1.1as-
11 sic on November 5, 1967, whereby 90 per cent of the ticket sales
12I will be contributed to charities; and
13 WHEREAS, among the charities throughout Orange County
14 deriving benefit from the proceeds will be: Fairview State Hos-
15 pital; March of Dimes; Muscular Dystrophy Association; Orange
16I Coast Chapter of California Association for Neurologically 1andi-
17 capped Children; Orange County Association for :Retarded Children;
18 Orange County Auxiliary of the John Tracy Clinic; South Coast
19 Child Guidance Clinic (Harbor Auxiliary); South Coast Child
20 Guidance Clinic; Services for the Blind; and Hope Haven School;
21 and
22 MMMAS, many celebrities will participate in the Orange
23 County Celebrity Golf Classic and have pledged their time and
24 efforts to make it a success;

25 NQJ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
26 the City of Newport Beach unanimously supports this deserving
27 cause and commends the Costa Mesa Golf and Country Club for its
28 contribution to the many charities in Orange County; and
29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all citizens of Newport
30 Beach and Orange County are urged to support the Crange County
31 Celebrity Golf Classic.
