61 WHEREAS, the year 1969 will mark the 200th anniversary
?i of the founding of the State of California; and
8 WHEREAS, the observance of this significant historical
9 event would be enhanced by the issuance of a commemorative postal
101 stamp;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
12 the City of Newport Beach that the Postmaster General is urged
13 to give favorable consideration to the issuance of a stamp
14 commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the
15 State of California.
