RESOLUTION NO. 6678
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A COPY
OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "MODEN ANNEXATION NO. 59" AND
AN AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION THEREOF AND
• APPROVING THE CIRCULATION'OF THE PETITION
WHEREAS, on December 7, 1967, there was filed with the
City-Clerk of the City of Newport Beach a copy of Notice of Inten-
tion to circulate petition relating to annexation of certain
territory to the City of Newport Beach under the Annexation Act
of 1913 pertaining to territory designated as "Moden Annexation
No. 59 ", accompanied by a written statement containing reasons
for the petition together with an affidavit of publication of
said notice on the 5th day of December, 1967, in the Orange
Coast Daily Pilot; and
WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the
legislative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt
of the notice and approving the circulation of the petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that receipt of the notice, state-
ment and affidavit aforesaid is acknowledged, and that approval
is hereby given for the circulation of the petition for annex-
ation of that certain territory designated as "Moden Annexation
No. 59" commencing twenty-one days after the publication of said
notice and statements
ADOPTED this 11th day of December, 1967.

duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 11th day of December , 19672
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Parsons, Marshall, Gruber, Cook, Shelton
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Rogers, Forgit
