A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO PETITION THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINSTRATION
TO INTERVENE AND BECOME A PARTY TO THE ORANGE
COUNTY AIRPORT DISCRIMINATION FACT - FINDING
INVESTIGATION
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
has issued an order to the County of Orange that there will
be an investigation into alleged air carrier discrimination
practices at Orange County Airport, and
WHEREAS, the results of said hearing could have a
vital impact on the interests of the City of Newport Beach
and its citizens with regard to the Airport noise problem,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby authorizes the
City Attorney to file a Petition to Intervene in the Orange
County Airport Discrimination Fact - Finding Investigation.
