• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT TO MILES
AND KELLY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., IN
CONNECTION WITH THE STORAGE FACILITY AT 16TH
STREET UTILITIES YARD (C -2057)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
work in connection with the storage facility at the 16th Street
Utilities Yard, in connection with the plans and specifications
heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 14th day of
March , 1979, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is MILES AND KELLY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of MILES AND KELLEY
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., in the amount of $108,650.00 in
connection with the storage facility at the 16th Street Utilities
Yard be accepted, and that the contract for the described work be
awarded to said bidder; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid, and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
