A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF LEGAL NOTICES AND OTHER MATTER
AND DESIGNATING AN OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER FOR
PUBLICATION OF NOTICES, AND RESCINDING RESOLU-
TION NO. 9385
WHEREAS, Section 419 of the Newport Beach City
Charter provides that the City Council shall publish a notice
inviting bids and contract for the publication of legal notices
and other matters required to be published in a newspaper of
general circulation in the City during the ensuing fiscal year;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has published such notices
and bids have been received in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has analyzed said bids and
determined to make the award as hereinafter provided,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of $3.25 ner
column inch be accepted and that the Mayor and
City Clerk be and hereby are authorized and directed to execute
a contract in accordance with this award for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1979.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that NewDOrt EnsigM
is hereby designated the official newspaper for the publication
of legal notices and other matters required to be published, for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1979.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 9385 is
hereby rescinded.
• ADOPTED this '25th day of June , 1979.
