RESOLUTION NO. 9598 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />• CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO <br />THE IRVINE COMPANY FOR LOT 1 OF TRACT NO. <br />9587 <br />WHEREAS, Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587 was deeded to the <br />City by deed recorded May 11, 1977; and <br />WHEREAS, Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587 contained 5.25 <br />acres to be used for park purposes, which was a condition of <br />approval of Tract No. 9587; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved Tract No. 10151 <br />on January 23, 1978, which tract amended Tract No. 9587, <br />wherein Lot 43 of Tract No. 10151, containing 7.38 acres for <br />park purposes, was approved; and <br />WHEREAS, said Lot 43 of Tract No. 10151 contains a <br />portion of former Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587, plus additional <br />area; and <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City to quit- <br />claim Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587 to The Irvine Company in <br />considerationfor the grant from The Irvine Company of Lot 43 <br />of Tract No. 10151 for park purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the net benefit to the City of Newport <br />Beach is an increase in the amount of park area within the <br />Ci ty; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br />of the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk <br />are hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed to The <br />Irvine Company for Lot 1 of Tract No. 9587. <br />ADOPTED this 1()+h day of JiiW 1979. <br />N "Pap �► <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />-TWkD AS 0,=1 JAL <br />ity Clerk =" - ._........_.........a ... <br />T CIYY CLERK Of THE CITY OP PlDYKA ACH <br />ens JUL 12 1978 <br />
