RESOLUTION NO. 9636
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH OPPOSING ASSEMBLY BILL 1611
WHEREAS, the State Legislature is currently
considering Assembly Bill 1611 which will revise the existing
procedures to allocate fines and forfeitures for parking vio-
lations; and
WHEREAS, the existing system is fair and equitable
and does not need a revision which will result in less income
to affected cities, -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the City of Newport Beach
opposes Assembly Bill 1611.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to
Assemblywoman Marian Bergeson and to Senator John Schmitz.
ADOPTED this 10th day of September , 1979.
