HomeMy WebLinkAbout9648 - Acacia Street Vacation MapRESOLUTION 4 "" A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING THE PORTION OF ACACIA STREET WHICH IS PROPOSED TO BE VACATED, CLOSED UP AND ABANDONED WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the City of Newport Beach has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain map entitled "Portion of Acacia Street to be Vacated," drawing No. R /W- 5418 -L of the Public Works Department of the City of Newport Beach, dated August 14, 1979, showing that portion of Acacia Street which the City is considering vacating, closing up and abandoning, and which is more particularly described as: That portion of the southeasterly 30.00 feet of Acacia Street, 60.00 feet wide, as shown on map of Tract No. 706, recorded in Book 21, Page 25, of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Orange, California, described as follows: That portion of the southeasterly 30.00 feet of said Acacia Street bounded on the northeast by a line concentric with and 50.00 feet south- easterly, measured radially, from the centerline of Irvine Avenue, as said centerline is described in a deed to the County of Orange, recorded September 13, 1962, in Book 6247, Page 578 of Official Records in said office of the County Recorder; and bounded on the southwest by the north- westerly prolongation of the southwesterly line of Lot 72 of said tract. Reserving therefrom, a public utility easement to construct, operate and maintain aerial and under- ground public utilities over thatportion thereof lying within the southeasterly 10.00 feet of the southeasterly 30.00 feet of said Acacia Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said map be and is hereby approved and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and directed to file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment of said alley.
