A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A RATE FOR THE
DELIVERY OF WATER PURSUANT TO SECTION 14.12.090
OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO BE
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1980
WHEREAS, Section 14.12.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that water rates will be set by
resolution of the City Council effective January 1, 1980, and
thereafter, and
WHEREAS, the City. Council has considered the cost of
water being purchased from the Metropolitan Water District and
the appropriate rate to be charged to adequately provide water
and for the maintenance of the capital improvements program for
the water system as well as operational costs,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the City water rate effective
January 1, 1980, and thereafter until further amended by reso-
lution, shall be $.45 per 100 cubic feet.
