AUTHORIZATION OF STAFF TRIPS
The Mayor is authorized to approve unbudgeted major trips by the City staff
not otherwise provided for herein whenever he feels they are necessary and
in the best interest of the City.
Unbudgeted trips within the State of California requiring not more than one
over -night stay may be given final approval by the City Manager.
Unbudgeted trips of one day or less for positions below that of department
head may be given final approval by the department head involved.
Budgeted trips of more than one day duration will be given final approval by
the City Manager. All other budgeted trips will be approved by the respec-
tive department heads.
This policy is not applicable to Police personnel who are on trips authorized
by the head of the department and whose trips are in furtherance of an in-
vestigation or are for the purpose of returning a defendant to jurisdiction
of the County.
