The Emergency Management Performance Grant is a reimbursement grant and the Fire Department utilized the funding to support the purchase of equipment for the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC), including laptops and audio visual equipment. The grant requires a 50 percent funding match, which the City provided though the Fire Department, Emergency Preparedness operating budget supported by the General Fund. In addition, the Orange County Operational Area required an activation of the City's Emergency Operations Center for an exercise or an actual event, and representation at monthly Orange County Emergency Management Organization (OCEMO) meetings during the grant fiscal year.
