CITY OF <br />NEWPORT BEACH <br />City Council Staff Report <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />PREPARED BY: <br />PHONE: <br />December 8, 2015 <br />Agenda Item No. 3 <br />HONORABLE MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />Kimberly Brandt, Community Development Director - 949-644-3232, <br />kbrandt@newportbeachca.gov <br />James Campbell, Principal Planner <br />949-644-3210, jcampbell@newportbeachca.gov <br />TITLE: Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2015-35 for Zoning Code <br />Amendment No. CA2012-003 for the Former City Hall Complex <br />located at 3300 Newport Boulevard and 475 32nd Street (PA2012- <br />031) <br />ABSTRACT: <br />Second reading of Ordinance No. 2015-35 approving Zoning Code Amendment No. <br />CA2012-003 changing the zoning district for the Former City Hall Complex located at <br />3300 Newport Boulevard and 475 32nd Street. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />a) Conduct second reading of an ordinance; and <br />b) Adopt Ordinance No. 2015-35, An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of <br />Newport Beach, California, Approving Zoning Code Amendment No. CA2012-003 for <br />the Former City Hall Complex Located at 3300 Newport Boulevard and 475 32nd Street <br />(PA2012-031). <br />DISCUSSION: <br />On November 24, 2015, after a noticed public hearing, the City Council introduced and <br />passed to second reading the attached ordinance approving Zoning Code Amendment <br />No. CA2012-003. The ordinance amends Title 20 of the Municipal Code (Zoning Code) <br />by establishing the CV -LV zoning district for the subject property. The CV -LV district is <br />consistent with the General Plan and Coastal Land Use Plan amendments that were <br />adopted at the November 24, 2015, meeting. The ordinance also establishes use and <br />development standards for the property. <br />3-1 <br />
